Deploying WebM8 to Users
WebM8 cannot be run as a server based application. A separate copy must be installed on each machine. The data files however, can be created by the I.T. department and copied out to users.
In the I.T. department, start Webm8 using the master password which you will eventually give to the user. Set up the sites and options you want the user to have, then check this option:
You will then be asked for a separate administrator's password. The original master password will now activate WebM8 without editing privileges.
Use the backup facility to copy the data to the user's machine and give him the original master password.
Where several users have similar data but different passwords, just change the master password before copying to his machine.
When changes need to be made, you can either repeat this process or you can edit the users copy directly by activating it with your administrator's password.
