Backup and Restore
To access Spartan's built in backup system, click "Backup and Restore" on the Tools menu.
The location shown in the Data Folder box is where Spartan currently saves your clip data.
Backup
To Backup your data Click the "Select Folder" button.
And select the drive and / or folder you want to backup to.
Your chosen backup location now appears in the Data Folder box.
Note that Spartan automatically adds the folder "Spartan_Data" to your chosen location. You do not have to make a folder for the backup. If you normally back things up to G:\Backups, just select G:\Backups and Spartan will make the backup to G:\Backups\Spartan_Data.
Click this button to make the backup.
On subsequent backups, the "Last Folder" button will be active. You can use it to quickly select the last backup folder you used.
When you click the "Backup to this Folder" button, you will also be given these backup options.
Restore
To restore from your backups, use the "Select Folder" or "Last Folder" buttons and click "Restore from this folder".
Data Location
To keep your data other than in the original folder, select a folder and click here
This option is useful if you like to keep all your data under a single disk letter or folder to use a system wide backup program.
Note that this option is not available in the U3 Version and is restricted to the same drive that the program is on in the Portable Version.
Multiple Data Sets
You can keep additional sets of data by selecting another location and clicking here.

Note If you elect to work from a folder other than the original (default) folder, the "Original Folder" button will be active. You can use it to re-select the original data folder.
