Preserving detail in a screen shot reduction
This is a screen shot of 101:
If you reduce it using the "Size - " button:
it will look like this:
This is because the reduction process used, simply removes horizontal and vertical lines of pixels until the graphic is the size you want. This type of reduction works well for digital photographs but if a graphic has fine horizontal or vertical lines, they can just disappear.
To preserve the fine detail as below, reduce the screen shot using the "Size -" button as before
then click the "Anti Alias" button.
NOTE:
Unlike the simple reduction, the anti alias reduction is not reversible so make
sure your screen shot is the size you want before pressing the anti alias button.
If you are unsure, right click in your screen shot and click "Copy Graphic"
first. If your anti alias graphic isn't what you want, you can erase it and
paste back the original.
